New book out of the Dark Tower in 2012

I was looking for news on the movie The Dark Tower (in next release) when I came across a much more juicy news: it was finally announced the release of the new volume of the Black Tower, the eighth. This comes after the saga was in theory already ended after the seventh volume. This new book takes place in between the fourth and fifth, because, according to King, there was a period that had not been developed. Also at that same King, there will be big news, but only a deeper insight into the Middle World. It seems that Jamie DeCurry meet again, a character in the novels that appeared ever so fleeting, possibly in a more central role. The release date, for the American edition of course, was set in 2012, date to be determined.
still appreciate the willingness to deepen the description of the Middle World. This study was begun with the release of the comic, which will surely bring a lot of ideas in writing that King had kept for himself during the writing of books, as the mythology of the Middle World and especially the story of Gilead.

The Fighter


The title is at least guessed: The Fighter is not just the story of a fighter (actually, more than one), but above all not only about the fight in the ring, the conflict in the broadest sense.
The center of the story concerns a former boxer, Dickie ( Christian Bale), who must train his brother (or rather, half-brother) Mickey (Mark Wahlberg ) for a meeting that should bring back after so long out of the ring.

We must fight against crack addiction that is literally consuming, and that gives him no small trouble.
Mickey has to deal with a family (and especially a mother) who does not hesitate to throw it into the competition out of his reach, and thus risk permanently cancel his career. And finally there is
Charlene ( Amy Adams), a young and attractive bartender who comes to disturb the atmosphere of this family already upset face despite his best to get along, and especially to stand alongside Mickey.
If there is anything that I left this film, it's the thought that sometimes we have to choose for themselves the right way to go, but we still need the help of others to continue. I know it's a bit 'twisted, but I can not explain it otherwise. If you watch the film you'll understand why.

A special note should be made to Christian Bale: its shape reminded me that a lot of "The Machinist", even if here is not so skinny. I wonder how he can stand it, especially after the two chapters of the saga Batman, and in preparation for the third. However
congratulations to Bale's interpretation won him the Academy Award for best supporting actor.

Looking back they were video games over the years. As the title of the post, such as it was about playing video games in the 90s, especially with the Amiga.
